Frequently Asked Questions
Just some of the FAQ I receive on a regular basis, some valid curiosities about Henna and Gypsy and the Thief. If you happen to have any further questions or concerns please don’t hesitate in contacting me, I would absolutely love to hear from you!
What is Henna?
Henna is a plant derived paste that is made from the crushed up leaves of the Lawsonia Inermis plant. Typically grown in warm subtropical climates such as India, Egypt or Asia. My particular paste is made from powder sourced from Rajasthan in India. Once the crushed up leaves are mixed with water, sugar and essential oils it makes the Henna paste! All my Henna is 100% natural and certified organic. You can find more information about my henna here
2. How long does it last?
This depends upon how well you look after your henna. Typically your henna stain should las anywhere between 1-2 weeks. However the longer you leave the dried paste on for the longer it lasts, as well as keeping it out of water as much as possible. See Before/After Care Instructions for more information on this.
3. Where can I get my Henna done?
You can find me at markets around the gold coast and on the odd occasion brisbane, to keep up to date follow me on instagram here I will always be posting my where about’s.
Otherwise you are able to book an event or private appointment - this is a great idea to get a few girlfriends together and share a booking over some wine and nibbles.
